What's on your camera reel?

If you're like me, you have 10,000 photos on your iPhone camera reel. Some you post to socials or send via text to a friend. But most just hide like trees in a dark forest, forgotten until you're trying to find that specific one.

We want to freeze each "first", "last", & in-between, and that's okay. But a professional photo takes the pressure off of us, allowing us to mark milestones, freeze emotions & capture feelings in a way that makes you want to print a photo and hang it up for future generations.

I'm not "photogenic".

If there was ever something holding you back from having your photo taken, this is likely in your top 3 reasons. You don't like how much you weigh, how many wrinkles you have, or how crooked your teeth are. I get it, we all have things about ourselves we don't like. But when was the last time a loved one or close friend showed you their portrait and you thought, "Ew, Aunt Stacy should have lost 10 pounds before having that photo taken!"?

I promise, it's the same when they see your photo. Whether it's today or 30 years from now, your loved ones only see you and the beautiful memories you've made together. The pounds, wrinkles, and blemishes are just waypoints and markers showing a life lived! Being "photogenic" isn't any more real than having the "perfect" life.

Together, we'll work together to capture a photo that you love. You can feel good in your skin and it's as simple as trusting that I will work with lighting, angles, color, backdrop and more to ease your worry and anxiety. You deserve to love your photo, just as much as you deserve to love yourself FOR all your imperfections, not DESPITE them.

"You don't make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved."
